System Engineers can be responsible for a high variety of tasks depending on the company and industry they work in. In general, they specialize in a few areas of development as databases or applications, where each of these areas require knowledge in its own set of computer languages and development environments.
The System Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining company systems to ensure efficiency, automation, and integration with other platforms. The role requires high accuracy, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate business needs into practical system solutions.
Design, test, and develop software systems and internal procedures to ensure reliable performance.
Automate business processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
Create, modify, and optimize reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
Develop scripts and automation tools using programming languages such as Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Ensure systems are aligned with business needs and contribute to productivity improvement.
Monitor system performance and ensure continuous operation of internal systems with high efficiency and reliability.
Manage and secure databases (SQL, SSAS), ensuring data accuracy, security, and easy accessibility.
Conduct system testing and troubleshoot technical issues promptly and effectively.
Ensure smooth system integration with other internal and external platforms (API integration).
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and updates.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in system engineering, database management, and system automation.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SQL, SSAS and database administration.
Experience with API integrations and system connectivity.
Ability to develop reports and dashboards.
Strong coding skills in Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
